Abstract

Answer D. Whooley questions
Depression after stroke is very common, but unfortunately it is under diagnosed and under treated. A low threshold should be used to discuss mood. The Whooley questions should be used to screen for depression. If this suggests likelihood of depression, further questions should be asked using a more sensitive tool.
