Abstract

Answer A. Consider prescribing emergency contraception
Pills have been missed followed by unprotected sexual intercourse and there is a risk of pregnancy. Consideration should be given to emergency contraception. Only the last pill that was missed needs to be taken in any case once remembered. A pregnancy test will not be positive yet and barrier protection is suggested for 7 days by the ‘missed pill rules’.
