Migraines can be very difficult for people to contend with, especially if interfering with work. Sumatriptan can be used acutely if needed. Bisoprolol as well as amitriptyline can be used first line for prophylaxis. Sodium valproate and topiramate should be used second line. Verapamil is used for prophylaxis of cluster headaches.
