Abstract

Answer C. Repeat urine dipstick in 3 weeks
A one-off episode of microscopic haematuria in a child during an illness is common and usually resolves. A urine dipstick should be repeated in 3 weeks time. If persistent, then further investigations are warranted and a secondary care referral is recommended.
