Nodular basal cell carcinoma is the most common variant accounting for 60% to 80% of cases. It is most commonly found on the skin of the head and neck. It is usually nodular, flesh coloured, has pearly rolled edges and there may be peripheral and/or superficial telangiectasia. The central area can appear compressed and ulcerated.
