Abstract

Answer E. Increase fluid intake
There are different strategies to try and reduce the frequency of urinary tract infections. There is not enough evidence to support the use of cranberry juice or D-mannose supplements. The number needed to treat for circumcision is very high and this is not a simple solution. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence doesn’t recommend antibiotic prophylaxis in primary care. Increasing fluid intake can help prevent bladder infections.
