Abstract

Answer C. Fusidic acid cream
This boy is presenting with a flare up of his eczema that isn’t responding to his usual treatment. The golden crusted appearance suggests a diagnosis of impetigo, which is localised, and he is systemically well. In this case, topical antibiotic cream, such as fusidic acid, can be used for up to 2 weeks.
