General practice tutorials: effective planning in eight steps

As primary care evolves with increasing multidisciplinary collaboration and the expansion of Primary Care Networks, newly qualified GPs must navigate clinical complexity while developing a strong understanding of broader team dynamics from the outset of their careers. Delivering effective tutorials is a method to support learners in the primary care environment to build the knowledge and skills needed for confident work in these evolving clinical settings. This article explores eight steps for structuring and delivering tutorials in general practice, offering a practical strategy for GPs (and GP registrars interested in teaching) to enhance the learning, professional growth and integration of future GPs into national healthcare teams.
