Preface by the Editors-in-Chief

It is our great pleasure to introduce this Special Review Issue - Glia and Non-Neuronal Cells in Huntington's Disease – for the Journal of Huntington's Disease and to thank the Review Editors, Mahmoud Pouladi of the University of British Columbia and Asa Petersen of Lund University, for putting this timely and exciting issue together. The involvement of glia and non-neuronal cells in Huntington's disease pathogenesis is increasing being recognised.

In this issue, Drs. Pouladi and Petersen have compiled a compendium of new reviews on the current state of our understanding of glia and non-neuronal cells and neuroinflammation in HD as well as the gaps in our knowledge, areas of research that would expand our knowledge, and how we might tackle therapeutics in light of dysregulation of these cell types and their interactions with neurons.

We hope that you will enjoy this Special Review Issue of the Journal of Huntington's Disease as much as we have!
