Abstract

This is the second special issue of The Bible Translator to appear in 2016, both drawing attention to topics of particular significance for Bible translation around the world.
The April issue, 67(1), is a collection of papers to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the publication of Erasmus’s Novum Instrumentum in March 1516. We would like to thank Dr. Marijke H. de Lang, Reviews Editor for the journal, who first suggested the special issue, commissioned the papers, and then supervised the editing process through to publication.
This current issue, 67(2), focuses on the various canons of Scripture which are recognized and used by different Christian confessional communities. We thank Dr. Jean-Claude Loba Mkole, a Global Translation Advisor for the United Bible Societies, who coordinated the seminar at which the papers were presented and has guest-edited their publication.
This issue of The Bible Translator sees some changes in the composition of the Editorial Board.
