At the request of Sage and the Managing Editor, the following article has been retracted:
Shahzad, M. A., Jianguo, D., Jan, N., & Rasool, Y. (2024). Perceived Behavioral Factors and Individual Investor Stock Market Investment Decision: Multigroup Analysis and Major Stock Markets Perspectives. SAGE Open, 14(2). https://doi.org/10.1177/21582440241256210
Sage was made aware of a blog post1 discussing potentially incorrect results due to erroneous data analysis.
The blog post states that incorrect data analysis has led to erroneous hypothesis testing results. Specifically, they state that in Table 6, which states all 5 hypothesis are supported by statistical analysis results, when conducting a replication of the Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), only 2 of the 5 study hypotheses were actually supported by the results of statistical analysis of the PLS-SEM data analysis.
The authors were unable to provide an explanation when asked to comment on the concerns. They were also unable to provide the data underlying Table 6’s results, only responding to state the published article contained the data from a different separate study, and requesting we issue a correction with new results.
Due to the outstanding concerns we have of this article’s statistical methods and results, this article has been retracted.
The authors did not respond when notified of this decision.
