Abstract
Welcome to the first issue of 2013, Volume 36, Number 1, of Career Development and Transition for Exceptional Individuals. We hope that 2013 has been good to you so far. As you will read, this issue is a special issue “Reflecting on the Past, Present, and Future of CDTEI.” We thank Joe Madaus, Lyman Dukes, and Erik Carter for first conceptualizing and then serving as the special issue editors.
It is hard to believe that CDTEI is now in its 36th year. Given the amazing list of previous journal editors, we are both humbled and honored to be serving as the current editors. As you will read, the history of CDTEI nicely reflects the changing face of our multi-disciplinary field of career development and transition. We believe this special issue successfully looks back at our history, but also reminds us that there is still work to be done.
As always, we wish to thank our current consulting editors, as well as our guest reviewers. In addition, we must thank all the reviewers and editors who came before us; your hard work laid the foundation for the success of CDTEI. Thank you all, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.
