Alternative routes for production of steels vvith a yield strength of about 450 N/mm 2 and above

Abstract

Alternative routesfor theproduction of plates with a yield stress of about 450N/mm² are discussed. A comparison is made between normalized, controlled-rolled, and quenched and tempered steels, withparticular attention beingpaid tofactors affecting theirproduction and use.
