Marine Wood Borers from Krishnapatnam Waters,Andhra Pradesh,East Coast of India

Abstract

The paper reports on the occurrence of marine wood boring organisms at Krishnapatnam fishing harbour on the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh, East India. 18 species were identified, 2 pholads and 16 teredinids. Lyrodus massa is a new record in the Bay of Bengal. Taxonomic details are given.
