A new exercise test machine has been developed that allows a variety of complex movement sequences to be performed at different resistance levels. The implementation, effectiveness, and performance of the machine in practical exercise is detailed. An experimental study completed by eight healthy male subjects found that physiological effects using the new machine were superior to that of traditional arm exercise. Results indicate that the new machine is a viable means for exercise test investigations of the upper body.
