Abstract
For economy, the same design of fuel-handling equipment is used for these two stations. On each, a single, gantry-mounted, charge machine is used for both reactors and includes, as far as possible, the features which have already been developed on earlier gas-cooled reactor stations. The charge machine, although taller, is similar to these earlier machines but considerably simpler in design, except where additional equipment has been added to suit requirements of the A.G.R. fuel assembly. These are described but are under examination to re-assess their necessity.
