Abstract

This book has a very large number of radiological images of excellent quality and relatively little text. However, the text is absolutely adequate and excellently connected to the images. The images are provided with a fine mix of arrows and numbering related to the text. Thus it is a good guide to understand normal findings as well as pathology.
The book is divided in five chapters: General, Temporal bone, Skull base, Nose, and Neck. In every chapter you find tables explaining the pro and cons of CT and MR with regard to the different diseases. Thus the book may be used as a learning guide to colleagues not very experienced in radiologic diagnostics in the ENT region. Some chapters describe diseases that partly may be recognized as neurosurgical or neuroradiological, e.g. ‘Skull base’. This enhances the quality and makes Imaging for Otolaryngologists a valuable help for neuroradiologists as well. Everyone reading this book will experience the value of repeating the complex anatomical aspects of the ENT region.
For all radiologist and clinicians working with diseases of this interesting and challenging anatomical region, I suggest that you have this well-illustrated and composed book at hand.
