Every now and then it is desirable to get back to basics, especially when one is discussing the implementation of an alcohol education program. Regardless of the teacher's target for alcohol education this person's basic style is of primary importance. The key characteristics we should look for is a style which enables the student to have the freedom to make an informed decision. Such decisions are not likely to result unless free dialogue can take place. Furthermore, a lecture approach, which is all too common today, is guaranteed to be counter productive.
