Psychiatric Implications of Functional Music for Education

THIS article by Dr. Brickman (M.D.), psychiatrist at the Menninger Foundation and Winter Veterans Administration Hospital, Topeka, Kansas, attempts to correlate what psychiatry has learned from an application of functional music to the treatment of mentally ill patients, with principles educators can follow in the socialization of school children. The material is published with the approval of the chief medical director of the Veterans Administration.
