Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the role of mentoring on university students’ career planning for a satisfied work life. It contributes to the field by examining not only the perspectives of mentors but also two groups of mentees, including those in early careers, comparing them and providing suggestions for improvement. The study used a qualitative research semi-structured interview method with 30 participants, and descriptive and content analyses. The results revealed that mentoring plays a supporting role in the career planning with some recommended parameters like correct matching, effective training, super visioning and targeted actions during the process.
