Abstract
The Arrow Dot Impulse, Porteus Maze Q, and S-O Rorschach Test were given to 180 Ss. These three measures of impulse were intercorrelated and found to be independent of each other. The above measures were factored along with a measure of intelligence, the MMPI Lie Scale and a direction following test. All impulse tests were independent of intelligence, and only the AD I loaded on a factor resembling direction following ability. It is suggested that the impulse measures not be used interchangeably.
