Linguistic stimuli may be used in vision on comparable principles to those used in the study of audition. A distinctive feature of these comments is the use of moving distorted linguistic stimuli. Such stimuli may affect measurement of the more dynamic temporal resolving processes of the visual system. Suggestions are made for possible clinical usage.
