In a preliminary study a film was designed to shorten the time necessary to perceive the direction of a tennis return. Ss showed significant improvement in response time. Since the training was conducted with individual Ss, the use of the training film in a classroom situation was examined. Results indicated significant improvement in response time; thus the training device appears to be useful in classroom situations.
