10 Ss drove in traffic over a test course having 3 different speed zones. In one driving condition the speedometer was obscured; in the second condition all instruments were visible. There was a significant difference between driving conditions as measured by eye glances; more anxious drivers tended to glance at the obscured speedometer with greater frequency than drivers with a low anxiety level.
