Male adolescent Ss who had run away from a training school were compared in terms of race (Caucasian or Negro), age, and total time as inmates. Negro Ss accounted for a significantly fewer number of runaways; the mean ages were identical; and Negro Ss had a slightly higher duration of inmate time.
