16 male and 27 female students in an adolescent psychology course used a forced Q-sort to indicate items of greatest concern to them. Ss were asked to imagine themselves the middle-aged parent of a hypothetical adolescent. Effect of the course appeared to depend in part on the sex of the respondent. A retest indicated that, while considerable change took place in items of greatest concern, when the total list was considered items tended to maintain approximately their same relative positions.
