Abstract
The Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis is receiving increasing attention as a counseling tool in the military, particularly in relation to deviant behavior. In evaluating 76 incarcerated soldiers upon entering a correctional training program and again the week they left the program, the inventory was administered. Those receiving dishonorable discharges during the 9-wk. program (N = 17 and those completing the program (N = 59) were compared using a one-way analysis of variance on each of 11 scales. Changes in scale scores are interpreted as indicative of Ss' increased apprehension and perception of more negative implications in themselves.
