The interaction of age (17 to 29 yr.), sex (130 males, 108 females), and Neuroticism with locus of control was investigated through a three-factor analysis of variance. The main effect of Neuroticism and the interaction of sex by Neuroticism on locus of control were significant. Generally, males who scored low on Neuroticism were more internally oriented than the male groups who scored higher on Neuroticism as well as all the female groups.
