121 Chicano and 112 white college students showed no significant differences in their total scores on the Machiavellianism scale. But a stepwise discriminant analysis using the 20 individual items of the scale yielded two significant discriminant functions which could distinguish between the two cultural groups and between the men and the women within the white sub-sample.
