Responses of 71 female and 30 male undergraduates to Bem's inventory and the Marlowe-Crowne Social Desirability Scale yielded differential strength of association of social desirability and Masculinity and Femininity scales. Masculinity accounted for little variance but Femininity was more strongly correlated with social desirability.
