This research examined how a multidimensional measure of well-being was used in studies of successful aging. Probability methods yielded a sample of 171 people who were at least 65 years of age. The Philadelphia Geriatric Center Morale Scale (revised) was contrasted in summary and factor form with several aspects of perceived health. It had been anticipated that the magnitude of association between perceived health, a summared morale score, and the morale factor-derived scores would vary. The data partially supported this expectation.
