Summary
DBA/2 mice were stimulated by being removed from the nest for 3 min. daily from birth to day 24. Control mice received no stimulation. Between days 45 and 55 all animals were implanted with leukemia 1210. The stimulated mice showed significantly shorter survival time than their non-stimulated controls. This effect is assumed to be a result of early chronic stress leading to a reduced neurohumoral response to later challenge.
