Vitamin B 12 Activity of 5,6-Dimethylbenzimidazolylcobamide Coenzyme for the Chick

Summary

Vit. Br₁₂ and the 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazolylcobamide coenzyme were equally active in (1) supporting growth of chicks up to 4 weeks of age and in (2) overcoming the impaired metabolism of formiminoglutamic acid that occurs in Vit. B₁₂-deficient chicks.
