Abstract
Summary
Picryl chloride was found to exert a lethal effect in vitro on leukocytes, principally lymphocytes, from guinea pigs exhibiting delayed-type skin reactivity to this hapten in the absence of antibody and complement. This reaction was found to be immunologically specific. PC1 caused no discernible effect on leukocytes from guinea pigs rendered specifically tolerant to this substance.
