Summary
Infusion of insulin to hyper-glyceridemic subjects results in decreased plasma glyceride levels as compared to control infusions. Protamine can prevent this insulin-induced decrease. It is tentatively concluded that insulin accelerates removal of glycerides from the plasma by peripheral tissues.
