Summary
The NAIFD inhibit the release of LDH and ACPase from thrombin-aggregated platelets in vitro. They inhibit hypotonic-hyperthermic lysis of erythrocytes. The effects of NAIFD in vitro have been compared to their “anti-inflammatory” effects when given orally. A direct relationship does not exist. Of a large number of “active” and “inactive” drugs found in these and various other in vitro systems, active “anti-inflammatory” drugs appeared in both classes
