Summary
Atropine in amounts sufficient to produce moderate signs and symptoms did not influence base-line plasma HGH values or the plasma HGH rise following insulin hypoglycemia. A relative refractory period in HGH responsiveness to insulin hypoglycemia was observed when insulin tolerance tests were performed on consecutive days.
