Abstract
Summary
Amino acid transport by everted gut segments (in vitro) of rats exercised 7 or 21 days, rats pregnant for 7, 14, or 21 days, or rats exercised during different periods of gestation was determined. Generally, pregnancy did not affect amino acid transport; only exercise during the last week of pregnancy had a negative effect on gut transport.
