Summary
The administration of human growth hormone to four hypercholesterolemic, coronary prone (i.e., exhibiting Type A behavior pattern) subjects led to a significant fall in their average serum cholesterol level and a significant rise in their average serum triglyceride and prebeta lipoprotein levels. The glucose tolerance was impaired significantly but transiently during HGH treatment.
