Abstract
Summary
Steroids added in vitro to human neutrophils have numerous effects on cellular metabolism, including inhibition of hexose monophosphate shunt activity, particle uptake, and iodination of zymosan particles. The magnitude of these effects varies considerably with the steroid employed.
