Summary
From human synovial fluid a protein inhibiting β-glucuronidase activity has been extracted and purified. The inhibitor is shown to be the albumin present in the synovial fluid. The identification of albumin is based upon a comparison between the purified inhibitor and human serum albumin carried out by electrophoretic and immunologic techniques.
