Summary
Proteins obtained from the embryonic tissues of chicks and pigs have been hydrolyzed, and the glutamic acid hydrochloride obtained from the hydrolysates examined in the polarimeter. The glutamic acid hydrochloride isolated was entirely the 1(+) variety.
