Abstract
Summary
Cortisone inhibits many of the manifestations of scurvy in the guinea pig while desoxycorticosterone aggravates the condition. These activities of the hormones probably depend on their action on mesenchymal tissues. The scorbutic guinea pig, untreated or treated with DCA, may be a valuable test subject for the assay of anti-arthritic compounds.
