Summary
The growth depressant effect of toxic levels of iodinated casein in the ration of immature male and female rats was partially counteracted by the addition of fish solubles, liver extracts and a commercial APF supplement. Supplementation with crystalline vit. B12 was more effective in males than in females, but maximum response was not obtained with this substance. The multiple nature of the “antithyrotoxic factor” is therefore suggested.
