Summary
Two men with scurvy and associated anemia, while maintained on a scorbutic diet, displayed hematologic responses to 125 and 250 μg of PGA, respectively, given intramuscularly daily. A potentiation of this hematologic effect of PGA occurred on subsequent administration of 1 g of ascorbic acid daily in addition to the PGA.
