Conclusions

Two compounds, 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole and 1,2-dimethyl 4,5-diaminobenzene, which have been previously implicated in vit. B₁₂ metabolism, were found to inhibit the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, strain H37Rv, in Dubos Medium.
