synthesis of Functionalised Polythiophenes and (2-Thienylcarbonyl)Pyrroles Via Conjugate Addition of (2-Thienylcarbonyl)Thioacetanilides to Nitroakenes
A convenient method is described for the synthesis of functionalised polythiophenes (6a-s) by treatment of (2-thienylcarbonyl)thioacetanilides with β-nitrostyrenes. Transformations of title products into pyrroles under acidic conditions are also discussed.
