Coercive approximation of viscoplasticity and plasticity

This work generalizes the result from [9], and for all viscoplastic models of monotone‐gradient type presents a convergence result of the coercive approximation (see [4]) to a global solution of the original noncoercive problem. In the case of elasto‐perfect plasticity we approximate the model of Prandtl and Reuss by a sequence of the coercive Melan–Prager models.
