Abstract

The National Taipei University (NTPU) in New Taipei City was founded in 1949. In 2010, NTPU completed its relocation project, moving the six colleges from the downtown campus to the present San-Shia main campus in New Taipei City. Over the past few decades, NTPU has traditionally played a significant and pivotal role in educating and developing the mid- and high-level talents in the areas of law, business, public administration, social sciences, as well as electrical engineering and computer science.
We are delighted to announce the two major activities organized by the ICGA in close cooperation with a committee led by Professor Jr-Chang Chen and I-Chen Wu, author of the Go program CGI:
The 10th International Conference on Computer and Games (CG2018, July 9th–11th). The 21st Computer Olympiad (July 7th–13th).
CG2018 continues an internationally renowned conference series that publishes studies of artificial intelligence in computer games. We sincerely invite contributors to submit papers on all aspects of research related to this area. The submission deadline is March 1, 2018. Visit
The Computer Olympiad has been the multi-games event since 1989. Almost all of the best computer game software in the world participates in this competition in which the strongest program in each kind of game is found. In addition, this competition also leads to the invention of numbers of new games such as Connect6. Hence, this event is an academic exercise and fun. The tournaments include (but are not limited to) the games of Amazons, Block Go, Brazilian Draughts, Breakthrough, Chinese chess, Chinese dark chess, Connect6, Dots and Boxes, Draughts, Einstein Würfelt Nicht, Go, Hex, Lines of Action, Mahjong, Minishogi, NoGo, Nonogram, Othello, Outer Open Gomoku, Shogi, and Surakarta.
