The interaction force between a prolate spheroid and an exterior axially symmetric vortex ring in potential flow 1 2

In this paper the force experienced by a deeply submed prolate spheroid in a potential flow due to an axially symmetric vortex ring and a uniform flow is formulated. A numerical example is carried out by using data corresponding to one of Weitbrecht’s test models.
